Barrio Dance Privacy Policy
Introduction
This policy explains what personal information the Barrio Dance website and mobile app (together, "the Services") collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Barrio Dance ("we", "us") operates the Services, which let you book dance classes and buy pricing plans. The Services are built and hosted on the Wix platform, and Wix processes data on our behalf as described below.
By using the Services you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. Questions can be sent to info@barriodance.com.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run your account, bookings, and purchases.
Information you give us

Account details: your name, email address, and, if you provide them, phone number and profile photo.

Booking information: the classes you book, cancel, or attend, and your booking history.

Purchase information: the pricing plans and packages you buy, and your order history. Payments are handled by a payment processor (see "How we share information"). We do not see or store your full card number.

Communications: messages you send us, for example by email or through the Services.
Information collected automatically

Device and usage data: device or browser type, operating system and version, app version, language, IP address, crash reports, and basic information about how you use the Services. On the website, this includes cookies and similar technologies that keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and help us understand site usage; you can control cookies in your browser settings.

Push notification token: in the app, an identifier that lets us send you class reminders and updates, if you allow notifications.
We do not knowingly collect precise location, contacts, or health information through the Services.
How we use information
We use your information only to run the Services and our classes:

To create and manage your account and sign you in.

To book, change, and cancel classes, and to track your attendance and plan balance.

To process purchases and send receipts.

To send class reminders, schedule changes, and other service messages.

How we share information
We share personal information only with the service providers and parties below, and only as needed to operate the Services.

Wix: the Services are built, hosted, and operated on the Wix platform. Wix stores and processes your account, booking, and purchase data on our behalf, under Wix's Privacy Policy.

Payment processors: when you buy a plan, your payment details go directly to the payment provider connected to our Wix account, which processes the transaction under its own privacy policy.

Push notification services: in the app, Apple and Google deliver notifications to your device.

Legal and safety: we may disclose information to comply with the law or a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, Barrio Dance, or others.

Business transfers: if Barrio Dance is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner, and we will give notice.
We do not sell your personal information. When you choose to share information with someone else through a feature of the Services, that is your choice and not a sale.
Permissions and device access (mobile app)
The mobile app asks for device permissions only when a feature needs them, and you can change them at any time in your device settings.

Notifications: used to send class reminders and updates. The app works without them.

Photos or camera: used only if you choose to add a profile photo. We access only the image you select.
We ask for your permission before using each of these, and we do not access them in the background.
Data security
We protect your information with technical and organizational measures. Data sent between the Services and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, and your account data is stored on the Wix platform, which maintains its own security safeguards. Access to our records is limited to people who need it to run Barrio Dance.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account credentials private.
Data retention and account deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide our services. You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data tied to it at any time.
How to delete your account

To request deletion: email info@barriodance.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my Barrio Dance account", whether you use the app or the website. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
When we delete your account, we delete the personal data associated with it. We may keep limited records where the law requires it, for example payment and tax records, or where needed to resolve disputes or prevent fraud. We keep those only as long as required, and they are not used for any other purpose.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to stop using it for certain purposes. Email info@barriodance.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Notifications: turn them off in your device settings or in the App.

Permissions: change or withdraw them in your device settings.

Marketing emails: unsubscribe using the link in any message.
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and some US states such as California, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR and CCPA, including the right to object to or restrict processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email info@barriodance.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email.
