Hi, I'm Sophie!

I’m from Dubuque, IA and I started training at age 6 in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet and tap. During the pandemic I discovered commercial dancing and fell in love with performance styles and have been training in those styles ever since.

In my classes I aim to create a stage setting, letting dancers be the star of their own show with a supportive and high energy environment. My movement embraces femininity and power, allowing dancers to be unapologetically authentic. Barrio has given me some of my closest friends and has provided opportunities for younger artists like myself to teach and choreograph.

When I’m not at dancing Barrio you can find me teaching or choreographing at other studios around the Madison midwest area. I’ve recently been training in Chicago, Atlanta, and LA also performing on stages around the country.

Fun fact: I love Marvel movies, the color purple and the rain.
